Report From School

March 18th, 2009 · Comments Off

So I have just arrived at school and I know that I have not blog anything in pretty much a few months almost!! Times have been just crazy as can be with work, school, and the family. The good news is that I am doing VERY well in college. A lot better in fact then I ever did in High School. I have about 2 A’s, 2 B’s, and 2 high C’s in my classes so far. One of those C’s I am working on the most to try and bring it up to an A before the end of this semester in May. I just have two tests left to go in that class to try and bring my grade up and one research paper that I have to work on this week period because it is due on the 26th.

In regards to school, work is hell. I am hating LA Fitness more and more by the minute. Ask for a raise, and they pretty much laugh at you even though you do EVERYTHING for them and they don’t even have to worry about your club at all. I have been electrical work, painting, cleaning, and some plumbing even just to keep the club up to Par. All of which is done only in 6 hours a day, 30 hours a week. That is not enough time to do all of ths work, but I make time to do anyway. And even then, a raise. No, never. A-holes!! Lol. But all in all, doing this work has started the course of me buying my own set of tools and power tools to get the work done. Hey, I would have to buy some anyway once i got my own place so it is best to do it now. This also gives me the perfect chance to start working on what I have always wanted to do at home, sculpting!! I finally and I am finally getting the tools I need to make the sculpture ideas I have locked away in my head dying to come out. And now that I am so close to having all the tools I need, that urge has gotten even stronger to the point that it is hard to even keep from blurting out how excited it is actually making me.

Use to be that I never looked forward to doing art this much except for in high school when I took my semester art classes with Mr. Paris. Every day, that was the one class I looked forward too the most. Now, I can do whatever and whenever I choose right at home. Can’t wait to start!

Any and Will are doing great. Both happy and both laughing. Despite the hardship, they are both taking it very well. Will in fact always gets very excited once I come home laughing and staring at me while playing peek-a-boo with his blanket. Again, even though I don’t do much. I’m the one he favors most from his mother…. Lol.

Anyway, I guess that is it for now. I will post again when I can. Later!

Obama Vs. McCain

November 3rd, 2008 · Comments Off

So we have now gotten down to the wire with Election babble in the nation. The two candidates have finally meet at the last moment of the hour to see the American people’s overall decision to who should be president. I shall not state who I desire to be president, however I shall say what I expect that would benefit the people more so then myself.

First off, our school have got to become Federally funded by our government. Just now, over the past few months I have come across an article that has stated that Dekalb county as well as a few others where being cut in funding so much that they would not be able to replace old equipment or buy necessary equipment for their education purposes. This is beyond wrong! More then anything in our nation, our children come first. They deserve more then anyone in this nation. Most of our funding should go to our schools overall! What kind of a nation shall we become if our children grow up knowing less and less each generation! It is no surprise that our nations economy is falling! This is where a change in taxes can help. To go up a couple percentage points will not kill anyone if these funds go straight to our school systems in the nation.

Secondly, we have got to cut corperate tax! It is basic knowledge to know that if you cut corporate tax here, companies that moved overseas will come back here, and they will have more job openings with the increase in funds that they now have. If it were up to me, I would cut the whole tax out of our laws completely. That would allow large pay for everyone and more jobs which would mean our economy is bound to go up no matter what.

Third, this is of course going to our energy, and environment. Granted I love the green of our land, we have to also keep the power flowing. So to put forth the money to go into solar and wind power would benefit us very well. They may need a lot of maintenance, however that would only mean more jobs for our nations people! More work, means more jobs.

Just think about it. If everything starts from the bottom up, which it does. Then the first place to start is not with our paychecks, but our children. I know a lot of people will think otherwise, but deep down we all know that knowledge is more important the the number on a pay stub. The more knowledge we have, the higher that number shall be.

3 Months Old

October 30th, 2008 · Comments Off

William is now 3 months old, and that is extremely hard to believe. It seems just like yesturday that he was just born, however now he is 3 months old and it will be sooner then I could ever imagine that he would be 6 months old!! Wow.

Well here is the updates of the month. Work has gotten a little uncertian. I have no idea of there shall be any lay offs within my area when it comes to LA Fitness or not. However one thing is certian, and that is the gym is cleaner then possibly any other gym in the state. We only have small matters throughout the club, like a little rust here and a little dust there. Pretty much, I just have to train myself (really train myself) to just clean everything that I see to get the gym at perfection so that neither Kimberly (our district manager) or any other higher person will not be able to find a single problem. It will only be a matter of time, and with how well the gym is kept up now. I could end up getting a promotion within the future months.

College is of course a go. I am just finalizing everything with the school, such as financial aid and placement tests, and I should be able to register for my classes and start my school work in January. I already took a glance at the Alpharetta Site class list, and they have a lot of good classes that I would like to go into. Psychology, Accounting, PreCal, and so on. Should be a fun and exciting challenge.

Other then that, there is not really much else going on other then me working hard to make a living. I am slowly paying down my credit cards, and so far it seems as though my dream to publish my own book is close at hand. Will not be much longer and I will have one of my cards paid off in total to start up all the work for it. Anyhow, got to run. Laters!

Thursday, The Big Day

September 6th, 2008 · Comments Off

I have gotten news Friday that Thursday is the big day when one of the company Heads will be coming by our gym and the Alpharetta Gym. As fat as I hear, this guy is way up in the ranks and practically under the President of the company. So It is up to me and my team to be sure that the Gym is spotless when he comes by. I will have to work my ass off come Monday to hit everything!! The ledges, TV’s, all high dusting possible, all high glass, and so on to get this place ready for Thursday. Scrub and hit everything so that I can impress this guy and possibly get a promotion out of the deal.

Bo, our District Manager, shall also be coming by next week for two hours. Why for two, I do not know for certian. Chances are it is to look over the gym and see exactly what it is that we need to work on for our bosses arrival. In that time, I will have to talk to him about making some more money and getting a different, however a higher posistion in the company which will allow me to work in the mornings. Otherwise, my hours could end up being cut back some and I certianly can’t afford that. I have to try and at least get something from 8am to 5pm, that will allow me to have evening classes at Georgia Perimeter College.

It is a good thing however that I will be getting paid this Monday/Tuesday. That means I get to pay off my Credit Card some and have more money to work. Other then that, and the big man coming to town, there is not much else going on. So I shall talk with you all later. Peace out!
